Voice for Animals will be coordinating a 'Roaring Silence March' to commemorate the international 'World Day for the end of Speciesism' in Edmonton.
A roaring silence march is just that...no chanting, no megaphones...we will let our signs and banners do the talking for us...loud and clear.
We will meet at the south end of 'End of Steel Park' 8720 104 Street NW; Edmonton, Alberta...to be precise, the corner of Gateway Blvd and 86 Avenue. Meet at 11 AM...march starts at 11:30!!!
MAKE A SIGN regarding SPECIESISM. POST A PICTURE of your sign and share the ideas!!! Some signs and banners will be provided. Leaflets will also be provided for those that would like to leaflet as we go.
NOTE; if people would like to break into smaller groups and represent a certain idea (ie: anti dairy, wolf poisoning in Alberta, animal testing )...I have 4 wolf masks and 7 cow costumes and four primate masks available for people to wear.
The general plan is to leave End of Steel Park, walk past the market and Fringe site and then down Whyte Avenue and back to our starting point. The weather will dictate how long we march...bring water, rain gear...whatever you might need.
We hope everyone can join up at the Buckingham later for a bevvie and snack!
