DO YOU NEED A WILL?
DOES YOUR WILL NEED TO BE UPDATED?
Do you have lots of questions or concerns?
Have you been putting it off because the whole process seems daunting?

REGISTER FOR OUR WILL WRITING WORKSHOP!

Why are we offering a workshop?
— Our experience is that people have so many questions about
writing their Will and other documents, it can sometimes be
daunting for them to book that first appointment with us.

— We are really hoping that by offering our services in a workshop
format people will feel confident that the Will we write for them
covers any concerns they may have had.

— Also, we are seeing more and more situations where people either
do not have a Will or have outdated documents and the problems
this is causing for beneficiaries. We are hoping our workshop will
encourage people to get their estate planning documents done!

WORKSHOP DETAILS
• Classes will be at our office — 200 Carnegie Drive, St Albert #101
• The 4 workshop sessions will be held at 6:00 PM on Thursdays for
4 weeks in August (see dates below)

AND THE BEST PART...the PRICE INCLUDES your completed estate planning documents – your Will, Power of Attorney and Personal Care Directive.

NOTE: If you are unable to attend one of the classes, we will have a video of the class that you can watch!

through the framework for the workshop
• Stacy will outline what you need to think about when trying to

• Stacy will walk through all the duties your Executor must do and
things they should be doing to avoid problems with beneficiaries.
• We will discuss our Executor Graph, a document we created so
you can put your potential Executors through a process to
determine if they are the people you should be appointing.
• At the end of the class we will take questions and we will outline
the small bit of homework that the group will need to complete to
be ready for the next session.

The second session will be a 1.5-hour long session where we will:

children under the age of 18 and why.

OUR EXCELLENT EXECUTORS PACKAGE
We will also be providing you with our Excellent Executor’s package. This is something we have created to give your Executor a solid foundation to work from when it is time for them to perform their duties. The package includes:
Executors Duties Handbook.
This is a document that my team created to help walk Executors through the steps they need to take to close an estate, gives them a time-line as to when these duties should be completed and provides sample letters to be sent to banks, insurance companies, pensions, etc.

Executor’s Log Book
It is very important that as the Executor, they keep track of all their expenses, mileage and keep notes related to their duties. Our Executor’s Log will assist your Executor in accurately doing this by keeping it readily available, so they can update it on a regular basis.
Estate Administration Handbook
This is a document my team has created to help Executor’s obtain information on all the deceased’s assets, debts, beneficiaries, etc. This is the document the Executor would need to complete if they are considering hiring an Estate lawyer to assist them in settling the estate.
