A tribute to the legendary 60's power trios!
The greatest innovators of rock music, CREAM and THE JIMI HENDRIX EXPERIENCE.
Rolling Stone's list of the top 100 greatest guitar players holds Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton as the top 2 guitarists of all time. (If you like heavy metal, you can thank Hendrix). Local guitarist Jeremy Doody, has spent years dedicated to mastering the style laid out by these hard rock icons. Doody's spot-on interpretation of the guitar wizards surely won't disappoint an audience of die-hard fans. Jeremy is a bearded, white reincarnation of Hendrix himself. You'll wonder if you've wandered back to Woodstock when you see his high-flying performance.
Craig Gomez is a virtuosic multi-instrumentalist. A legend amongst the small city of Red Deer. You may have previously seen him shred Hendrix solos on guitar, but this time, Craig challenges some of the greatest drummers of all time. Ginger Baker and Mitch Mitchell. Craig's powerful beat-blasting on the kit makes him the ideal player to fill the shoes of these percussion greats. He's got groove, strength, technicality and expression. You don't want to miss out on the opportunity to see this man dominate the drums.
Jack Bruce, bassist and lead vocalist from the English rock band Cream. Bruce single handedly gave rock a new authority. Local vocalist, Laren Steppler, takes the unique operatic style of Jack Bruce to the stage along with his novel bass playing. It's blues turned inside out. Laren's mighty voice will carry across and outside The Rec Room. Trained in classical and Jazz, but with roots in classic rock, you can expect a spot-on, off-the-record performance from this 21 year old 60's time-traveler.
