Men — this program is just for you!
Emotions and Me has created a pilot program to support men in enhancing their emotional connection with their children, partners, parents, friends and colleagues by developing their emotional intelligence. We are looking for some courageous men to come participate in this new one-of-a-kind program.
In this program you will learn to engage and enhance your emotional awareness by learning:
What the emotions are,
What they look like on yourself and others, and
What they feel like internally.
These classes will arm you with tools to support the development of your child's emotional awareness. It will also strengthen your relationships with your partner, children, family membe...rs and even work relationships. It will even improve your health.
There isn't anything offered specifically to men that supports them in learning more about emotions and how to develop a healthy emotional balance. We hope these classes will become a venue for men to get together to learn more about emotions, how to recognize them, how to manage them in a healthy way, how to support those they love emotionally and have fun!
Our first class will provide an introduction to what the different emotions are and what the words are for them. Besides happy, sad and angry — what are some of the other emotions?
We will then focus on one or two different emotions each class. Taking time to notice the differences in how they feel and look on ourselves and others. We will discuss ways in which you can support your family in this process as well and how to enhance your emotional connection with your children, spouses, partners, friends and colleagues.
To do this we will use different techniques including painting, clay, breathing exercising, emotional experience stations and more.
Yes, it's different and not something men typically do. But flexing your emotional muscles and connecting to a community of men interested in doing the same could change your life and the world! Come be a part of this exciting opportunity.
