Unlocking the hidden power of the squat is one of the most fundamental ways of enhancing your fitness training. Squats are some of the most effective multi-joint exercises, targeting multiple major muscle groups. A proper squat is a vital component of any strength training program.
This 1.5 hour work shop will cover all the fundamental movement mechanics of squats, including split squats (lunges) and other variations.
Topics will include
— An overview of lower body anatomy and the kinetics/mechanics of squatting.
— Common issues with form that can create issues.
— How do modify for movement impairments such as bad knees, ankles or hips joints.
— Exposure to multiple squat variations
Participants will all have access to 1:1 coaching with the instructors, and will be given opportunity to ask questions along the way.
