Experience art al fresco in one of Edmonton’s loveliest parks
The Edmonton Arts Council is serving up art, artists & summertime treats on August 24, 2017 at Borden Park.
Running from 5:30-8:00pm, this event offers an opportunity to meet the women artists behind the new sculptures now adorning the footpaths and formal gardens within the park.
Sandra Bromley, Kasie Campbell, Agnieszka Koziarz, & Susan Owen Kagan will be on hand to guide you through the stories, fun facts, and inspirations behind their artworks.
Attendance is free, and snacks from Fat Franks are provided for the first 100 people. Enjoy a gourmet hot dog or veggie dog with all the fixings and a pop — additional items will be available for purchase.
This event is the first in a series of three events to be hosted by the Edmonton Arts Council
Join us on Thursday, September 14 from 5:30-8:00pm at Whitemud Equine Learning Centre Association to experience the woodburning art of Black Artifex, live music by Celeigh Cardinal & Ben Tassel, and refreshments.
The final event takes place on Sunday, September 17 from 2:00-4:30pm at Terwillegar Dog Park for hot dog and not-dog treats as you meet Royden Mills, the artist behind Resonant Progression — the new artwork currently being installed in the park. Musicans Ben Sures & Chris Brzezicki will play and demonstrate the acoustic capabilities of Resonant Progression.
