Ace Rothstein and Nicky Santoro, mobsters who move to Las Vegas to make their mark, live and work in this paradoxical world. Ace is the smooth operator of the Tangiers casino, while Nicky is his boyhood friend and tough strongman, robbing and shaking down the locals. However, they each have a tragic flaw—Ace falls in love with a hustler, Ginger, and Nicky falls into an ever-deepening spiral of drugs and violence.
Dan Nielsen is a Front of House alumni. After «slanging popcorn» for nearly 7 years, Dan stepped away from behind the counter to sit on the Metro Board, where he now serves as President and has helped provide input into running the theatre with Ace Rothstein-like efficiency. (All muffins served at Metro have an equal amount of blueberries in each one.) Without a doubt, Casino is Dan's favourite film, and he has waited his entire Metro tenure to see it on the big screen. From the coolest of suits to digging holes in the desert, Casino is one of the ultimate gangster films ever created, showing that sometimes even the bad guys don't finish first. And it's all based on a true story.
